To-Do Cards with Due Dates — and the Task View That Ties Them Together

Add a to-do card to your canvas, give items due dates, and let the Task View pull every open task across your boards into one list.

Every business runs on a short list of things that have to happen next. In Vexlynk that list is a card on your canvas — sitting next to the data and notes it’s actually about, not buried in a separate app you forget to open.

How to add a to-do card

  1. Open the card palette in the left rail and choose To-Do.
  2. Drop it onto your board — into a column, or anywhere on the canvas.
  3. Type your items, check them off as you go, and add a due date to anything with a deadline.

That’s the whole setup. The card lives on the board, so the tasks sit beside the numbers, the notes, and the sources they relate to — the reason a task exists is one glance away.

What else the to-do card does

  • Due dates that surface. Any item can carry a deadline, so “what’s overdue” is something you can see, not something you have to remember.
  • The Task View. Vexlynk gathers every open to-do across all your boards into one list, along with tasks from connected Notion and ClickUp sources — so “what’s due this week” has a single answer, without opening ten boards to assemble it.
  • Your agent reads it. Ask “what’s on my plate?” and the agent reasons over your real to-dos. Ask it to reorder a list and it does — in place, keeping each item’s done-state.

Tick it once, it’s ticked everywhere. Tick one of your to-do items in the Task View and it ticks on its card; tick it on the card and the Task View updates. It’s the same item shown twice, not two copies, so there’s nothing to reconcile afterwards (how the Task View works).

Why a card beats another task app

A separate task manager is one more tab, one more login, one more place your work is scattered. A to-do card keeps the task where its context already lives — next to the client, the campaign, or the number that made it urgent. That’s the whole point of a workspace where everything sits together.

Frequently asked questions

Can I set due dates on to-do items?

Yes. Any item can carry a due date, and overdue items surface in the Task View so nothing quietly slips.

Can I see tasks across all my boards at once?

Yes — the Task View aggregates every open to-do across your boards into one list, plus tasks from connected Notion and ClickUp sources (shown read-only there), so “what’s due this week” has one answer.

If I tick a task in the Task View, does the card update too?

Yes. Ticking a to-do item in the Task View ticks it on the card it lives on, and ticking it on the card updates the Task View. It’s one item shown in two places, not a copy you have to keep in sync.

Does the agent work with my to-dos?

It does. The agent reads the real contents of your to-do cards, can answer questions about them, and can reorder a list when you ask — it never invents or deletes your items.
